“I Love Replaying Footage of Funny Moments with the Kids!” – Customer Story

Who knew picking up a cat could be so acrobatic? When you’re under 3 feet tall and still discovering your center of gravity the potential to topple is high. Don’t worry, no children or animals were harmed during this video. Mom came to the rescue immediately, thanks to her YI Outdoor Camera, and everyone made a full recovery.

We love receiving user clips of funny moments caught on camera, especially when they involve children or pets so this one really tickled our fancy. This power user, Matt has a dozen Kami and YI cameras placed in and around his home in Iowa to keep his family of four safe and give everyone a good laugh now and then. YI: Why did you purchase a YI/Kami security camera?

Matt: I have been a YI camera owner since 2016 and recently purchased a couple cameras from the Kami line. I always had a security system inside the home but knew I needed video surveillance both inside and out to be the most effective. After struggling with a different brand of camera system for a couple years I decided to look into an alternative. Once I came upon YI cameras and read and watched reviews, I decided they offered the features I was looking for at a very affordable price. After the first couple of cameras I decided we needed them in more locations around the house since we like to travel a lot throughout the year.

YI: How do you use your YI/Kami cameras?

Matt: Fortunate for us, we live in the country where it is pretty quiet and uneventful. I do enjoy the peace of mind knowing I can check in on things at any time and actually use the sound detection as a means to monitor if my alarm system goes off so I do not have to pay for monitoring.

YI: What is your favorite feature on the devices?

Matt: My favorite thing is going back and replaying the footage when we capture a funny moment with the kids or animals around the house. We actually had a live Christmas tree for the first time this year and the camera caught video of it crashing to the ground, no one was hurt, due to the amount of ornaments the kids put on one side.`
